The brief
A client is building a database of venture capital firms active across the UK, the US and leading European startup hubs (Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland), covering every stage from seed to later-stage. Your job is accurate online research compiled into a tidy, reliable spreadsheet.
What you'll do:
- Research VC firms and, for each one, gather the firm name, website, a working contact email, a short note on investment focus, and one key contact person's name and role
- Cross-check several sources — Crunchbase, PitchBook, LinkedIn and the firms' own websites — to confirm accuracy
- Structure everything in Excel or Google Sheets, one row per firm and a separate column per field
What we're looking for:
- Confident internet research and data verification
- Comfort with Crunchbase, PitchBook and LinkedIn
- Clean, consistent spreadsheet structuring
- Patience and strong attention to detail
