The brief
A US software startup serving the storm-restoration and utilities industry is hiring an SDR to be the first conversation most utilities and contractors have with the company. You'll prospect two segments — enterprise utilities (longer cycles, RFI/RFP) and SMB-to-mid-market contractors (shorter, phone-first) — to book qualified discovery meetings and demos for the account team. This is an entry-level outbound role (1–3 years) with a clear path to Account Executive.
What you'll do
- Research target utilities and contractors and build account lists
- Run disciplined multi-touch cadences across phone, email and LinkedIn
- Respond to inbound leads the same business day
- Qualify on need, timeline, decision process, budget and compliance
- Book and confirm demos, then hand off with clear notes
- Keep the CRM clean and feed objections and feature requests back to product
What we're looking for
- 1–3 years as an SDR or BDR in B2B sales, ideally SaaS, with a record of hitting meeting/demo quotas
- Disciplined multi-touch follow-up across phone, email and LinkedIn
- Confident cold calling, including with field-oriented buyers
- Hands-on experience with a CRM and a sales-engagement tool (HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft or similar)
- Clear written communication and comfort tracking your own funnel metrics
- Native English, available during US Central Time business hours
