The brief
A major digital comics and user-generated-content platform is hiring remote Comment Moderators (US-based) to keep its comments, forums and community content safe and on-policy.
What you'll do
- Review and investigate visual and written user-generated content against the platform's community guidelines
- Take moderation action on flagged comments and forum posts
- Keep up with current trends, slang and pop culture to make accurate calls
- Maintain strict confidentiality around user data and moderation decisions
What we're looking for
- Prior hands-on experience moderating user-generated content (comments, forums or social media trust & safety)
- Culturally aware of US trends and pop culture (Hindi, Japanese or Portuguese fluency is a plus, not required)
- Technically savvy and quick to learn new tools
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Comfortable reviewing graphic or sensitive content as a routine part of the role
