Online Community Moderator (Trust & Safety) - Remote US, Full-time, from $28/hr

An LGBTQ+ youth support nonprofit runs a supportive online community for young people and their allies. They are hiring a full-time, remote Community Moderator (US-based) to help run the platform day to day and keep it safe, useful and affirming. What you'll do - Handle community management: approve user clubs, process account deletions and respond to users on the site - Review users and content flagged for unwanted or unsafe behavior and apply the community guidelines - Monitor for emerging risks and send support resources to users who post content indicating suicidal ideation - Collaborate with the crisis-services team to evaluate at-risk content - Work with law enforcement when required What we're looking for - Experience in community moderation or trust & safety - Comfort handling sensitive situations: violence, self-harm, suicide, child sexual exploitation, bullying, harassment, hate speech, graphic content and protection of minors - Able to work non-standard hours across a 24/7 community, including at least one weekend day - Authorized to work in the US (continental US, Alaska or Hawaii); no visa sponsorship How it works - Apply through iince.
