Engagement Moderator — Online Communities & Social Media (Remote Contractor)

An established global community-management company is adding experienced engagement moderators to its remote contractor network through iince. You help keep online communities engaging, safe, and on track within each client's rules. What you'll do - Monitor and manage social media feeds across the major platforms - Respond to public inquiries using established guidelines and pre-approved messaging - Spot issues early and escalate them to internal and client security teams - Work within evolving client rules and moderation standards What we're looking for - Excellent written and verbal communication - A background in social media, content moderation, community management, or Trust & Safety - Strong judgement — you know how to assess a situation and when to escalate - Attention to detail and the discipline to follow set guidelines - Comfort across the major social platforms and a good feel for internet culture - Experience with tools such as Sprout Social, Conversocial, or Sprinklr - Gaming, fandom, or creator-community experience and extra languages are a plus How it works This is a remote independent-contractor role. You'll need a dedicated Windows 11 or macOS laptop/desktop, 40 Mbps broadband, 8 GB+ RAM, a 2FA app, a webcam or smartphone, a noise-cancelling headset, and a quiet workspace (a Chromebook isn't enough; dual monitors recommended).
