The brief
An established EdTech student-safety company is growing its remote on-call review team and is hiring through iince. You work alongside the company's AI, reviewing flagged student activity and deciding when a situation needs real intervention. This is a human-judgement role, not an engineering one.
What you'll do
- Monitor a live, real-time alert queue of online activity flagged as potentially harmful to students
- Carry out quick risk assessments to tell everyday curiosity apart from a genuine crisis
- Decide the right level of intervention and follow clear escalation protocols
- Notify school safety teams of extreme-risk situations fast — within minutes — by email and phone
- Keep accurate, detailed records of every decision in the support software
What we're looking for
- Background in education, psychology, or law enforcement
- Crisis-intervention or counseling experience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Stamina to manage a continuous real-time queue with focus
- A feel for social media trends, pop culture, and slang so you can read context correctly
- Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
- You must live in the US or UK; entry-level and recent graduates are welcome
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, roughly 7am–3pm US Central, with some flexibility
