The work

What they take off your plate

  • Online surveys and research-panel studies

  • Focus groups and one-to-one user interviews

  • Mystery shopping and product testing, online or in person

  • Small microtasks: categorising, checking and short data work

Vetting for this role

What we check before we shortlist a surveys & microtasks.

General vetting isn't enough. These are the checks specific to this role, on top of the skill tests every applicant takes.

  • Real task history

People who have genuinely completed studies, tests or microtasks before — not just signed up somewhere.

  • Follow-through

We check they finish what they start. Half-done surveys and no-shows don't make the shortlist.

  • Clear, honest feedback

For research and testing, we look for people who explain what they noticed, not just tick boxes.

Typical engagements

The three briefs we see most.

One-off, same week

Single study or test

A survey batch, a round of product testing, or a short microtask job, done once with a clear deadline.

Over a few weeks

Research round or panel

Focus groups, user interviews or repeated tests across a launch, scheduled in advance.

Ongoing, flexible

On-call task worker

Someone you can send small paid tasks to as they come up, without a fixed commitment on either side.

Typical ranges, not quotes. Your brief decides the scope and the timeline.

Surveys & microtasks: questions

Before you hire.

Is this steady, full-time income for the people you introduce?

No, and we don't pretend it is. This is flexible, task-based work paid per survey, session or task — a useful top-up or an entry point, not a salary. We're honest about that with everyone in the pool.

How are people paid for surveys and microtasks?

Per completed study, session or task, at a rate you set in the brief. Tell us the pay and the volume and we'll shortlist people happy to work on those terms.

Can I run a quick one-off survey or test?

Yes. One-off studies are the most common request here. Put the task, the number of people and the timing in your brief and we'll come back with a shortlist.

Start a brief

Tell us what you need.

Send a short brief — role, budget, timeline. We'll come back with two or three people we'd hire ourselves, usually within 48 hours.

  • How many people and how many tasks or sessions
  • Pay per task or session: a figure is fine
  • Timing: one-off, a research round, or ongoing
  • Languages and locations your research needs
