Reels Editor (Full-Time, Remote) — Talking-Head & Podcast Short-Form Sequencing

A social-content agency is hiring a full-time reels editor to turn raw footage into short-form videos that grab attention in the first seconds and keep it. This is a sequencing-led role: you decide which sentences stay, which get cut, and the order ideas appear — captions, B-roll and music are the baseline, not the job. What you'll do - Edit raw podcast clips, YouTube videos, reel shoots and scripted talking-head footage into tight reels - Own the full sequence: selection, pacing, structure and storytelling flow - Craft fast hooks that work for both the creator's core audience and new viewers - Add captions, B-roll and music as a baseline - Take ownership of outcomes — revisit and fix an edit if a sequence underperforms What we're looking for - Strong short-form sequencing and storytelling instincts for reels - Experience turning raw talking-head and podcast footage into tight, high-retention edits - Confident judgment over pacing, structure and narrative flow - Solid captions, B-roll and music skills as a given - An ownership mindset about the performance of each edit How it works This is a full-time, remote position where editors craft each piece start to finish and own the result.
