Freelance Transcriptionist, Captioner & Subtitle Translator — Remote

A well-known US transcription and captioning service is recruiting freelancers for three remote roles: transcriptionist, captioner, and subtitle translator. You set your own hours and pick projects — from interviews and podcasts to global media — with no minimum commitment. What you'll do: - Transcriptionist: listen to audio and type what's said, labeling speakers and following the style guide - Captioner: create accurate, time-synced captions for video to support accessibility - Subtitle translator: translate English files into another language while preserving meaning, tone and timing (17 supported languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish) What we're looking for: - Strong English grammar and fast, accurate typing (transcription) - Attention to detail and comfort working with video (captioning) - Fluent bilingual writing in a supported language (subtitle translation) - A computer, reliable internet, and the ability to pass a short skills assessment and submit a sample How it works: - Transcription pays about US$0.40–$1.10 per audio/video minute; captions about US$0.54–$1.10 per minute; subtitle translation about US$1.70–$4.00+ per minute depending on language.
