The brief
A small online store wants to move off Shopify and onto WooCommerce while keeping the look and feel it already has. The owner will provide a Shopify theme (based on the Dawn theme) as a zip file, along with images and page content. The deliverable is a WooCommerce theme that reproduces the original design and functionality to about 90% likeness and simply works on upload.
What you'll do
- Take the supplied Shopify (Dawn-based) theme, images and page content
- Recreate the design and key functionality as a WooCommerce/WordPress theme at about 90% likeness
- Make sure it installs cleanly and works on the store on upload
- Keep the layout, styling and behaviour faithful to the original
What we're looking for
- Extensive Shopify experience (Dawn/theme structure)
- Strong WordPress and WooCommerce theme development
- An eye for design fidelity and layout accuracy
- Comfortable working from minimal input and finishing independently
