Shopify Developer — Contract (Remote, US Hours)

An e-commerce product company (US hours) is hiring a contract Shopify developer to build and customise storefronts. This is a hands-on build-and-customise role — Liquid themes, Shopify apps and API integration — not marketing or advisory work. You'll work independently while collaborating with an in-house engineering, design and strategy team on scalable, user-centric Shopify solutions. What you'll do - Develop and customise Shopify themes with the Liquid templating language - Build and extend Shopify apps - Integrate REST APIs and third-party services - Keep stores responsive and optimised for mobile What we're looking for - 3+ years of professional Shopify development - Strong Liquid skills plus solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript - Experience with REST APIs and Shopify theme customisation - Familiarity with Shopify app development - Nice to have: Node.js/back-end, Shopify Plus features, Git, and a portfolio or GitHub of Shopify projects How it works This is a remote contract engagement within US time zones (roughly UTC-10 to UTC-5).
