E-Commerce Developer — Online Store with Shopping Cart (Phase 1, Remote)

A client wants a straightforward online store to sell products directly from their own site. Phase one focuses on well-structured product pages (images, descriptions, pricing) and a reliable shopping-cart flow — add items, edit quantities and proceed to checkout. It should be clean, responsive and easy to manage after hand-off, built on WordPress + WooCommerce, Shopify or a comparable platform. What you'll do - Build an e-commerce site on WordPress/WooCommerce or Shopify - Design clear product pages and a smooth shopping-cart flow - Make it fully responsive for mobile and tablet - Apply basic SEO: clean URLs, meta tags and alt text - Set up simple content and inventory management for the owner What we're looking for - Solid e-commerce build experience (WooCommerce or Shopify) - Product-page and cart UX skills - Responsive design experience - Basic on-page SEO knowledge How it works Phase 1 scope is product pages and cart only — payments, accounts and order tracking can be placeholders for a later phase. The client supplies branding, product information and copy once the framework is up. Deliverables: a live, fully functional demo to test end to end, plus admin access with short documentation.
