The brief
An established security and developer-tools software company is hiring a Senior Developer Marketing Manager to grow its presence where developers learn, share, and connect — especially on X, Reddit, and other technical communities. Part of the Developer Relations team, you'll create technically accurate social content, build relationships with technical creators, support product launches and events, and turn developer conversations into measurable audience growth and product interest. The role reports to the Director of Developer Relations.
What you'll do
- Grow the developer audience through campaigns and continuous engagement across X, Reddit, and other channels
- Create posts, threads, and short-form content, partnering with engineers to keep everything accurate
- Identify and build relationships with technical creators; coordinate briefs, deliverables, budgets, and performance
- Support product launches with creator partnerships and social content
- Build an employee ambassador/advocacy program and participate in developer communities
- Amplify developer events and connect campaigns to product adoption (engagement, qualified traffic, attributable signups)
What we're looking for
- Experience in developer marketing, technical social media, community growth, or developer relations
- A track record of growing a developer or technical audience with clear, measurable results
- Strong writing — able to turn technical ideas into clear, engaging content
- Technical fluency: follow developer docs, try tools and integrations, collaborate with engineers
- Experience coordinating creator partnerships or campaigns with multiple contributors and deadlines
- Nice to have: marketing developer tools / security / infrastructure / AI tools, an existing network of developer creators, and paid-social or attribution experience
