The brief
An established global localization company is hiring a full-time Norwegian Tech Linguistic Tester. You'll proofread and polish already-localized Norwegian content and QA-test software, mobile apps and documentation — a manual, no-code role for a native Norwegian speaker with strong English.
What you'll do
- Proofread and edit localized Norwegian content, catching grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, inconsistencies and extra spaces
- Check user interfaces for functional problems while you test
- QA software, mobile apps and documentation by following testing instructions and test cases
- Report bugs accurately through an internal database and client-specific bug-tracking tools
- Occasionally translate short content from English into Norwegian
- Follow project-specific quality standards, style guides, checklists and glossaries, and escalate testing issues
What we're looking for
- Native-level or fully bilingual Norwegian (written and spoken)
- Strong written and verbal English
- Sharp attention to detail, strong organisation and a commitment to quality
- Comfortable with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and navigating websites across different browsers; basic PC-hardware knowledge
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Entry-level/junior friendly
