Portuguese Localization Specialist — Remote AI Language Evaluation (Freelance)

A remote-first AI data company that partners with leading AI research labs needs native or near-native Portuguese speakers to evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Portuguese-language content. The deliverable is linguistic quality judgment and structured feedback — not coding. What you'll do - Review AI-generated Portuguese translations and original content for accuracy and naturalness - Spot mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, register problems and cultural issues - Suggest idiomatic improvements and evaluate regional fit (Brazilian and/or European Portuguese) - Provide structured feedback on linguistic and localization quality What we're looking for - Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese with strong written English - Deep understanding of Brazilian and/or European Portuguese usage and cultural norms - Comfortable evaluating written language quality at scale, with attention to detail and consistency - No prior AI experience required — translation or localization experience is a plus How it works This is a flexible, task-based freelance contract: roughly 10–40 hours per week on your own schedule, with ongoing work and potential for extension.
